Review on ๐Ÿ”Œ FebSmart USB 3.0 PCI Express Expansion Card for Windows Server, XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, 10 PCs - 2 Ports, Super Fast 5Gbps, Build-in Self-Powered Technology - No Additional Power Supply Required (FS-U2-Pro) by Ananta Crowley

Revainrating 5 out of 5

For Windows 7 users, good luck with Dos-Rack (terminal window) Setting a black screen with non-standard ASCII characters for menus

4-star rating "I like it." not 5 stars " Likeโ€ due to the Windows 7 installation process. A driver setup CD* is required and it runs a 1997 DOS file (.BAT) that requires the end user to know the answers to four consecutive questions (e.g., it is an NEC chipset or not - but the card isn't big enough to show, as some do) so a Win7 person might end up rebooting 4 times before the correct driver is installed. One of those generic CDs for ten different products, some of which aren't even USB PCI-E products.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • expensive
