Wasn't automatically detected in Win 10. Terrible documentation

I wanted to add a few more USB3 ports to my Win10 system without adding an external host. This item shipped and arrived quickly and is easy to install. Unfortunately, Win 10 didn't automatically detect it and the drivers provided created an unknown device in the USB section of Device Manager. The driver tool provided also messed up my audio card drivers (Realtek) claiming they were out of date. Now my rear speaker jack doesn't work, only the front headphone jack. The printed documentation doesโ€ฆ

A simple USB 3.0 card that works great

I installed this on an older server to support an external USB 3.0 enclosure for backup and it just works. There were no drivers to install (Windows Server 2016) and it showed up with no problems. So far, so good. Unlike many USB 3.0 cards that have an additional power connector, this one doesn't. Which is great for me since the server I'm using doesn't have standard power cords anyway. But just be aware of that beforehand. Don't plan on using them for high-end devices - only for low-powerโ€ฆ

For Windows 7 users, good luck with Dos-Rack (terminal window) Setting a black screen with non-standard ASCII characters for menus

4-star rating "I like it." not 5 stars " Likeโ€ due to the Windows 7 installation process. A driver setup CD* is required and it runs a 1997 DOS file (.BAT) that requires the end user to know the answers to four consecutive questions (e.g., it is an NEC chipset or not - but the card isn't big enough to show, as some do) so a Win7 person might end up rebooting 4 times before the correct driver is installed. One of those generic CDs for ten different products, some of which aren't even USB PCI-Eโ€ฆ
