I always paid extra for the Stride Rite because I thought it was excellent quality. The tread or bottom of the shoe immediately began to come loose. It was like my son wearing flip flops as the black bottom of the shoe slowly began to separate from the sole. It was dangerous for our son to walk in it. We are used to the normal wear and tear of children's shoes but this was clearly a defective product. I had to pay extra to take the shoes to the shoemaker and it looks like he can't fix them. Such a waste of money. I will think twice before buying Stride Rite again! Look elsewhere for shoes for your child, this is not an option worth buying.
