To be honest I was very hesitant to buy this lens. There are many mediocre reviews about it. And a lot of people seem to hate it. They talk about slow focus, forgetful image quality, etc. Slow focus is the most talked about. But let me tell you, ignore these weird reviews! The GFX system is obviously not the fastest for focusing. So I'm not going to tell you this thing is great for action shots or anything like that. But it's not that much slower compared to other 50mm equivalents. I really never had a single moment to think about the lens being slow to focus. It works well. The images this thing produces are amazing to me too. This lens is just amazing. Seriously, this is my favorite lens I own. For information: I photograph almost exclusively portraits. And I have a highly acclaimed 110mm GF f/2 and I still love this lens MUCH more. It's mostly about versatility, but I don't think the 110mm outperforms this lens in any way in terms of image quality. Yes, with 110mm you get more background compression and it's a bit faster. But overall, 63mm is still a winner for me 90% of the time. If you like this focal length, don't let the mediocre reviews fool you. This lens is fantastic.
