PLASTIC ON PLATES: Straightener

After I bought it and turned it on I noticed another reviewer wrote the same thing. BEWARE! There is plastic on the plates and it doesn't say that anywhere in the instructions! I had melted plastic in my hair and it made all the plates sticky. The plastic is not visible during installation. I even read the reference map and directions beforehand and would have deleted if directions were given. Revain is great and will send me a replacement but be careful you don't make the same mistake I did.
