Review on Small Dog Interactive Squeaky Ball Toy - Wobble Giggle Grind Teeth Training Safe Herding Gift For Puppy & Medium Dogs (Circle Spike) by Tyrell Rike

Revainrating 4 out of 5

My dog will never chew this up - whoops!

We bought the circle spike ball. As you can see from the photo, it’s much larger than a tennis ball and my dog has some trouble picking it up, but she managed to figure it out. It’s very hard and, considering the size, she won’t be able to get her jaws around it far enough to crush it – a good thing. As it is covered with hard little nibs it should be good for chewing and give her gums a nice massage at the same time. Because it’s not soft like most of her toys, she won’t be able to tear it apart to get to the squeaky inside. The squeaky has an odd sound, more like short little farts. There is no place on it that will dispense a treat like some toys. At $25.00 it’s a little expensive for a dog toy but if the thing lasts forever, it might be worth it. Her soft squeaky toys usually last a day or two before they’re torn apart. She’s even chewed the top off a kong. I can see this toy living outside in the yard for outdoor playtime. It would be perfect. However, the size makes it inappropriate for smaller dogs. Update: This ball is so hard I thought she would never be able to make a hole in it. Well, I was wrong. On the second day she managed to tear some of it off and make a small hole. The good part is there is no fluff inside so nothing to drag out and make a mess of. If she's just going to tear it apart chunk by chunk it should take a while. She does love it though, and although it's too big for her mouth, she carries it all over. The fact that she did make a hole lowers my rating from 5 to 4 stars.

Pros
  • INTIMATE SERVICE
Cons
  • While the toy may be entertaining for dogs, the added spikes and textures could potentially cause harm or discomfort to their sensitive gums and teeth during prolonged use
