I'm new to cycling: I didn't have one as a kid. Even though bikes are "easy" and inflating tires is "super easy," I've struggled with inflating the tires myself. No matter who I asked, the YouTube video I watched almost always started with a version of "so easy, la la la presta/shrader, psi boom done!" to the point where I think I would even pay money to watch a video of someone gently and gently explaining what a bike is like to an alien child. The guys in the store were always nice, but they always said great. fast (they are always so busy), and I just nodded, hoping I got the details I needed, but I just don't have them. I looked for books with the right depth. I was looking for more videos, brochures. I had trouble figuring out what valve I had. Even if I somehow checked in a week, I would have missed the name and lost my post with information. Worst of all, I was consistently let down by the expensive "professional" bike pump that the salesman talked me into buying. Even online reviews say it's a great pump. For years I tormented myself with this pump - I broke valves about 5 times - although I used to watch videos, thought I'd stalled and scrapped tire after tire until I gave up trying. I just rode all summer until my tires were so depleted that I stopped riding until I got the bike tuned in next year. I was drawn to this pump because it screws in, not the leverage the tire seal is supposed to create. I was hoping that this mechanism would make it easier for me. When the pump arrived there were very simple instructions on the label and I googled the bike pump and how to use it and there was a video showing how to use it (albeit with the usual too fast, too assumed knowledge pace) . But I made some notes and tried to inflate the tires. I. I finally made it! After 5 years of trying to inflate tires, being frustrated and embarrassed, I did it! And it was easy to do and I felt like I had a good idea if my print was successful and peeling it off didn't feel like I had to be some kind of magical speed ninja - I could take my time and feel like you did everything right and didn't break the valve. Inflating a tire is also easy and uncomplicated. My old pump required a certain level of speed and strength, which always felt like an intense workout. It was a lot easier. Too bad I wasn't aware of this pump before and part of the problem was not having the right pump for me and my skill level. proper bike tire pressure and great rides all summer long Thanks Lezyne for such a great product and informative video!
