Explodes in Furnace. It's not real Pyrex, it's dangerous stuff. I was just roasting a piece of fish in my oven when I reached out with a spatula to take the fish out and the dish exploded. Real Pyrex is made from borosilicate glass, which is a very heat resistant, cheap lime glass. Corning sold the Pyrex brand in 1998 and the current owners use it as a brand name, but they do not make them from real Pyrex glass (i.e. borosilicate glass). If you search the internet for the word "Pyrex explosion" you will find many references to this problem, including in Consumer Reports. I wish I had done a search before buying this, if I don't I'm left with an oven full of broken glass. If you're looking for Pyrex, you should look for borosilicate bakeware instead.
