I received one of these knives as a gift many years ago and was so impressed that I decided to buy another one. Well I came across the ore at Revain, found all the sizes and types I need or need. As with any task, using the right tool makes the job a lot easier. These knives are razor sharp and get the job done in the kitchen quickly. Don't worry about the blades sliding over the vegetables like a dull blade. The blade will become discolored if not washed immediately after use. Found this when my daughter was cutting strawberries and not cleaning the knife. I preferred the stainless steel handles to the black plastic and was very happy with them. The handle of my old knife turned a bit dark because I didn't know not to put it in the dishwasher. This has not affected the sharpness of the knife in any way, it has been for many years. There are no blade bushings in this set, so if that's a deal breaker, buy the knives individually. I made my own sleeves out of cardboard. Love these knives, buy them, you won't regret if you don't cut yourself!
