I ordered several of these to try as each has its own characteristics. I like this lamp because it has a small footprint and is easy to assemble. No need to insert the LED strip, no need to insert plastic tubes into the channel. Just 4 light tubes that connect in seconds. It also has a power cord instead of the USB cord that comes with most of them. And the power cord is LONG - so you can turn this lamp on and unplug it. It was important to me too. There is no remote control included, but there is an app that can be downloaded from the App Store. The base is weighted, so despite its small size, it's unlikely to tip over. I was able to hang it in the corner of the room behind an L-shaped table and had no trouble installing it.
