Long range, easy to set up, only costs a little more than 3rd party antennas
High SWR. With the NGP antenna I didn't have to worry about the antenna being in a good ground position (since it provides its own ground plane) and after installing and connecting my SWR meter to test it was well below 2:1 . . In terms of actual usage, reception is excellent, people come in loud and clear. It's a little pricey compared to other manufacturers' antennas, but note that this is a kit - it comes with the antenna itself, a 3-way multi-position mount and a 17ft bracket. special NGP antenna cable, so all you need in one purchase.
