High risk of installation errors?

I installed this with Cobra wxst CB and couldn't call anyone. Tested with an SWR meter and nothing changed. It turns out that pushing the antenna back with the force of the wind (a good 5-6 inches) has a huge impact on the preform/SWR meter. any advice?

Excellent RV/RV antenna

Excellent antenna, have already bought one. I recommend soldering the ferrule to the inner conductor rather than crimping and using the #6 ferrule provided instead. Whatever you do when the job is done, the antenna works great! The only problem I had was that it's not prime so I had to pay for shipping and it was slow.

Best CB Radio Backpack Antenna

I use this antenna to make my CB radio backpack! To do this, close the coaxial cable tightly and place it in a small plastic tube. Wrap this tube in aluminum foil and cover with heat shrink tubing. Screw the two short ends to the antenna connection and to the radio. I always use the CRT-MIKE device because it's very easy to use with a microphone! Long range, easy to set up, only costs a little more than 3rd party antennas

High SWR. With the NGP antenna I didn't have to worry about the antenna being in a good ground position (since it provides its own ground plane) and after installing and connecting my SWR meter to test it was well below 2:1 . . In terms of actual usage, reception is excellent, people come in loud and clear. Great antenna, best accessories and supplies

This antenna has completely eliminated all of our CB problems on motorcycles. The antenna coupled with a standard length NGP coaxial cable gave the results we really wanted. Just make sure to route the coaxial cable on the opposite side where the ignition is on. In addition, the cable is too long for the motorcycle. DO NOT CUT.
