This kit is for battery connection. The longest cable is 5 feet long and connects to the battery. I wanted to install it in my RV and have a cord long enough to move the panels outside in search of sun. I mounted the controller in the trailer over the battery and connected it with the battery cable that came with it, but I cut the connector off and put ring terminals on the ends to permanently connect it to the battery. I made my own extension cord using the plugs that came with the kit. Now I can attach solar panels to the RV superstructure and move them to catch the sun from outside. My 20ft extension cord fits nicely in a pocket on the outside of the folded panels. I like the material of the suitcase, it's like a tarpaulin but made of nylon. The controller instructions are pretty cryptic, but I finally figured it out. All in all a good kit, just think you'll have to make an extension if you want to use it like I did.
