The quality and construction is excellent - German engineering ;) It has a lot of nice features, from the center lid that tears off so I can use my Cuisinart hand blender with it, to the pouring spout, strainer spout and stopper. coverage option. Most importantly, it won't slip on the countertop. It has a lower profile in the fridge than my Cuisinart measuring cup, which is plastic and scratches over time, fading the measurements. I purchased this item specifically for making hummingbird food/water and hummingbirds love it. The fact that the lid can be rotated to cover the contents is an added bonus, meaning I can store it in the fridge and change the water every other day. I am planning to buy a second one for my hand blender. I would highly recommend this item to anyone.
