I'm a budget conscious guy but this knife set has vowed never to buy another for under $50 again. They're not cheap, they're just cheap. In the description, the product is advertised as scratch-resistant and came out of the packaging with notches on the sides (picture available). cozy at all, i could very well see that a child or an inattentive person accidentally exposes them, they are just above the slide level by themselves. I'm not sure if they were bought from a third party from a manufacturer that makes knives for another knife company with different size knives or something, but they don't fit at all. Despite the presence of a sheath, the knives come out of the box dull and need to be sharpened for effective cutting and safety. The pear slicer took a lot more effort than just slicing through an apple in my first test. The knives look very nice in the photos in the listing but are actually just cheap materials. Don't let the color and grainy texture of the handles fool you like me, it's all plastic. I don't know if they specified it in the listing details, but the aesthetic they were going for was clear. They're not even decent plastic. Both metal blades and plastic handles have no weight, even large knives. I'm not even sure if the grips are solid and not just a frame.
