First, a few points of clarification: These are the only refillable K-Cups I've used (so I have no basis for comparison) and I haven't tried them without a coffee filter. However, paper filters fit well and are easy to fill (and don't bother measuring your coffee, just fill the pod). The pod closes securely and fits easily into the Keurig machine. It then produces a good cup of coffee with very little coffee grounds. The used filter slides out, and the remaining thickness is easy to remove from the used container. You are then ready to start the whole process again. I live alone and only use 1 capsule at a time, so be aware that a 4-pack may be overkill for most (unless you make them all at once and keep repeating this process). So far this seems like a winner. They are well made and seem quite durable. I would recommend them and buy them again.
