Review on Abatron Wood Restoration Kit - 24oz: LiquidWood Epoxy Wood Hardener/Consolidant (12oz) + WoodEpox Epoxy Wood Filler (12oz) by Jessica Morris

I bought this rotten wood repair kit for my 20 year old casement windows. I have up to 5-6 repairs and am very happy with each one. I was careful and meticulous, which I think is the key to success here. Softwood needs to be treated and the repair needs to be permanent in order for it to last. Also, take the time to prime and paint the area for proper protection. I followed the directions, mixed the correct amounts, let the mixture dry and applied as directed. I removed the soft wood with a chisel and then applied a wood hardener. After curing I applied the putty making sure it penetrated all the cracks to form a strong bond with the good wood. I also made sure to apply a little extra so I can sand each surface flush with the existing wood. Then caulked, primed and painted. The renovation seems very extensive and looks good. It's hard to tell that renovations are going on in most areas. I feel great that I was able to keep these existing windows and not spend so much money replacing windows! I know I've saved quite a bit of money so far. I will also say that this 24oz set goes a lot further than I thought it would. All of my repairs have been small, no more than 3 inches, but I've only used maybe 20% of the product. I've used several other wood hardening products and alternatives - this is the best I've used to date!
