When my antenna was ripped out at the car wash, the dealer charged $50 for just the damaged base, not counting the antenna. I checked out Revain and found a 4 antenna base repair kit for less than fifty dollars which was a great base and easy to install antenna. My radio actually sounds better with this new antenna, bye Max Racing. It actually looks better than the old whip style metal antenna that came with the truck. It should be car wash safe.
