Quality seems reliable, I was concerned about stitching from other reviews but didn't see any issues. The extra strong webbing around the edges should help with wear as some of them will be walkable. I was only able to test them on an overnight ride in 50°F, but with a pair of socks I didn't feel the wind in my shoes and my feet stayed comfortable throughout the ride. They compress the toes of your shoes a bit, so loosen the Velcro a little before pushing it over the adjustment straps on your shoes. The velcro on the heating pad itself was adequate. Size L/XL goes well with my size 13 Bontrager shoes with Look Keo boots.
