Great toe pads and great price.

This year I wanted to extend my cycling season to cooler temperatures so I bought a new jacket, shoe covers and a balaclava, all for about $50. These toe pads make a big difference. I don't use cleats or wear heavy shoes when cycling. The overshoes fit over my athletic shoes and work great. They block enough wind to keep my toes warm.

Pros
  • Nice package
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Okay, but the material around the edges needs to be stronger.

They're nice and thick, but after two months/1000 miles of use they've frayed around the edges. I'm writing this so they can try to make this stuff stronger. In comparison, I had a pair from LG that lasted two years before being similarly ruined. My issue with them was that they were thinner and not as warm. UPDATE - they sent me a new pair after I wrote this - they seem to stand behind their product and were surprised at the amount of wear and tear.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • There are new competitors

Velcro too short

The velcro on the bottom is about an inch shorter. It barely connects to the other side and comes loose at the slightest bump or touch. Then I either have to stop driving and close it again or do the dangling down. I also have very narrow feet. I can't imagine what they would look like for someone with a normal or wide foot. They keep the cold out, but I've never had a pair of shoe covers that didn't work. So for that money I would buy a different brand next time.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Nothing here

Get the job done on mountain bikes

These cases do what they're designed to do. I've used them for a couple of rides in around 25 degrees and they keep my toes from getting too cold. Toes at the end of the ride (15-20 miles) are a bit cold but don't hurt since without them. My sock is ventilated with mesh. They are suitable for narrow road bike shoes. They just about fit on my size 12 Shimano MTB. I have size L/XL. There is no possibility to connect the Velcro. I cut off the strap. Cases hold normally, but without a strap. I put…

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Security

Quality seems reliable, I was concerned about stitching from other reviews but didn't see any issues. The extra strong webbing around the edges should help with wear as some of them will be walkable. I was only able to test them on an overnight ride in 50°F, but with a pair of socks I didn't feel the wind in my shoes and my feet stayed comfortable throughout the ride. They compress the toes of your shoes a bit, so loosen the Velcro a little before pushing it over the adjustment straps on your…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Served me well in late fall

I just leave them on my summer cycling shoes all fall. If you ride aggressively enough that you sweat a little (thus giving off body heat) they have worked great for me up to temps of around 20 for my just under 40 minute one-way commute. However, if you drive carelessly, there is a high probability that your feet will freeze quickly, even at the age of 30. I usually freeze my limbs very quickly compared to most people I know. the end of the journey and it hurt as the blood rushed back. I've…

Decent for the casual rider, not intended for the avid rider

Maybe these warmers will work better for you than me, here is my review and below is info on what I ride including shoes and in what I ride for the duration and speed. Pros: Very easy to install. The thickness is great so it doesn't break into pieces when walking like my Gore C3 Windstopper toe pads after 1 use. The wind protection ability is pretty decent for the price. Cons: Fit - the strap at the bottom is a bit too big, although according to the size chart it should have been fine. Straps -

These cycling shoes are awesome!

These overshoes have stood the test of time. They protect against wind and light rain. My feet were warm after an 8 mile ride in 28 degree wind conditions. When riding in light rain, I didn't have to dry my shoes when coming to work after a commute. They fit my Venzo SPD shoes perfectly and leave plenty of room to rip and open. The kevlar tape around the bottom is brilliant! I'm right-handed, so my dominant right leg stays wedged at the bus stops while I plant my left foot on the road. After a…
