Fenders fit my 2019 Tiguan SEL almost perfectly. I left the factory bolts for the inside of the wheel well and used the supplied bolts for the single bottom hole as the factory bolts weren't long enough to deal with the extra fender thickness. I had to make my own hole at the top for the front ones, but that was through the plastic trim so it wasn't too difficult. I used an angled mandrel and a rubber mallet to make the pilot hole because my drill didn't fit in the wheel area. There were T20 Torx bolts in the wheel arch and T15 underneath. Screws supplied by the manufacturer have a Phillips head. As for the front, you can turn the wheel for better access to the screws and I used a torx t wrench on the short side. It's a good fit for the back, but I have a set of mini flex head screwdrivers that bend so it's a lot easier. Can't comment on longevity yet, but they come close enough to satisfy my OCD and I think they look great. I saved about $75 by choosing this over the OEM. Definitely recommend!
