Review on Black 36-inch Broan-NuTone BCSD136BL Glacier Range Hood with Light & Exhaust Fan for Under Cabinet by Adrian Smart

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Extremely quiet, very bright and GREAT airflow

I bought this range hood to replace a 25 year old range hood that was about 15 years old. It was noisy and the lights were dim. THIS AIR HOOD is simply amazing. It was incredibly easy to install, looks beautiful, has amazing airflow, and the light is "foolishly bright". As an added bonus, the fan on this device is silent. At low speed it's almost inaudible, but it pulls a lot of air. At high speed, the fan moves 400 cubic feet of air per minute (!) but makes only a fraction of the noise of the replaced unit. The unit does not come with a power cord - presumably because some people have an outlet ready and some will "hardwire" it " want. Since our house used to have a range hood, we ordered a power cord that plugs into the wall (a standard 120v outlet in the cupboard above our stove). lighting system. The literature that came with the hood recommends 50w halogen bulbs. Because halogen bulbs use a lot of electricity and generate a lot of heat, I opted for LED bulbs (3 packs of 5w, dimmable Lowes LED bulbs). $12) and they're exceptionally bright on the high intensity setting. Even on the low intensity setting, they're five times brighter than the single bulb our previous lens hood had. from page ng) is covered with aluminum grease filter material. And also. because of how it is designed. The large 10 inch fan pulls air from the entire surface of the hood and not just a little in the middle like our previous hood did. Summary: This ventilated range hood is an amazing purchase!
