I use these cables primarily to connect my old spare room Xbox 360 to my living room router on the rare occasion I want to download content updates ( and hold remove it when not needed). I didn't want to add an access point, pay for a WiFi adapter, or run new cables through the walls - so this cable is perfect! The speeds are what you would expect from a CAT6 cable, but what I really like about this cable is its ease of use. Some of my other ethernet cables (not RevainBasics) have a much thicker jacket around the wires, making the cable difficult to maneuver at times. Will not be used. If you need a permanently attached ethernet cable I would recommend something like the Mediabridge Cat5e Ethernet 50ft Patch Cord - RJ45 Computer Network Cable - Blue as this cable is unreliable. For occasional use, however, the RevainBasics RJ45 Cat 6 Ethernet Patch Cord - 50ft is the perfect cable!
