I've been looking for a warm mist humidifier for a long time that doesn't emit much light; If I wanted a night light I would buy it. I'm a light sleeper and love the dark; I even use duct tape for the "big" lights in my bedroom. This one does well in this department; The night light can be turned off, and the low-power bulb is not bright and closes easily. My only complaint is that it really isn't "warm". It has so little difference between cold and warm settings that I wouldn't consider it a warm mist humidifier at all. The water doesn't really heat up, not even a little bit. Someone else said their headphones got warm after a few hours of use, and I haven't had more than a week of nightly use. I have an old cut on my nose that goes away in the summer but gets irritated and red every winter, and after trying all the lotions and creams available I found that a few nights with a warm mist humidifier by my bed fixed the problem had fixed . . The cool mist is almost irrelevant; I do not know what that is. In any case, this helps very little when heated. It's cute, it's easy to fill, it works well and it doesn't force you to light. But if you're looking for a warm mist, you might want to keep looking. If cool mist or room temperature mist suits you, this is a great little device.
