Review on πŸ”‹ ACDelco GM Original Equipment D1808A: Engine Oil Pressure Indicator and Fuel Pump Cut-Off Switch for Optimal Performance by Danny Poulin

Everything is better! for parts

To Revain customers who answered my question, YOU ARE GREAT! I had to buy a 1 1/16" goose foot to do the job because I didn't want to remove the top air intake to get to it. The symptoms on my truck (98 GMC K2500) were on the freeway, it worked fine , but in the city it jumped and stalled. When the oil pressure was high, the booster pump worked. When the oil pressure was low, the booster pump stopped working. When the key is off for more than 10 seconds, the ECM leaves the booster pump 5 seconds run for a long time then waits for the truck to start. This switch starts the charge pump when there is oil pressure. Also for $60.Shortly after installing this switch I bought a new lift pump. The pump had 160,000 on it and um for sure I think $60 is money well spent.
