New: They sent me a second pair of Symphonized headphones. I received the DRM Green/Blue headphones. This new pair has an elastic cord instead of a fabric sleeve. They are basically functionally the same and still don't stay in my ears no matter what I try. I think it's the type of headphone that's the problem for me. I feel that the weight of the wood and the amount of casing sticking out of the ear causes the buds to fall out of my ears every time I put them in for more than a few minutes. The shape of the silicone tips is suitable for the ear canal. But that's not enough to keep them in their ears. The style that fits my ear is shaped to mimic the inside of the earlobe on the outside of the ear canal. This design will never stay in my ear properly unless I'm sitting still like on an airplane or in a chair, reading or working on a computer. Someone like me would benefit from a different design or the addition of an ear hook to keep the headphones in place. Visually they are pretty. Sounds good to her. But I think Sony's plastic earbuds sound better, they just aren't as comfortable for prolonged wear. Basically, I don't like things that get stuck in my ear canal, and to keep those buds in there and get the noise-canceling effect, you have to do that. The size is better than traveling with huge in-ear headphones, but the inconvenience of constantly falling out and the inconvenience of wearing them in the ear for a long time makes me have to choose a different style. Old: looks like a tree. Big. I'm not sure if the noise reduction is effective. They don't stay in my ears. I have tried all silicone tips. If I do anything the cord will get caught in the fabric and the earbuds will detach and one or both will soon fall out. This is a good theoretical product, but its function is severely flawed. I would say if you plan on wearing them while sitting in one place then they might be for you. But anything else related to walking or exercise is forbidden.
