Even before we tried the helmet on, we immediately noticed that it was defective. The manufacturer uses a form of tape to hold the textured plastic "bear" cover in place. Cheap. The tape is only attached to the plastic cover about 1/8 inch thick, which is not enough, and the adhesive on the tape is not strong enough to hold the cover in place. As a result, the strap proved too difficult to ship alone, and it was broken upon arrival. Zero durability. It's supposed to be a kid's helmet... so I'm not sure what their design team were thinking when they designed such a thin shell with such poor tape to attach it. He never had a chance with this design. Come back and get something different.
