After reading many reviews I was skeptical and bought a set of 4 individual petals. Read many previous reviews and rate them highly. I had ideas as he used one spot as a small perch to observe everything that was going on. Well what can I say we have a lazy Betta now. He is always idle or more or more. Judging by the pictures, I'm superficial. Starting at maybe 1.5 inches at the top and 3 inches at the bottom. (photos attached) he has no problem raising his fins out of the water or he just lays on his side and looks at you. I will be ordering another set to have full top and bottom shelves to lay down, hide or stalk. Excellent purchase. .
