I didn't necessarily buy them because my cleats were over 16 inches but because they wouldn't center the TV where I needed it. I was hoping to use them as the main bolt mount and then put the TV in the center position. They mounted well and worked very well with my mount. (PERLESMITH TV wall mount with full articulation double swivel arm). They were strong enough to support my 200lb weight so my 70lb TV was no problem for them. I could move the TV along them like a guide and mount it where I wanted. I'm SO glad I bought them. My only wish is that they make longer versions of this. I would like them for a length of 3 pimples.
