The belt I received is not a Gates 6824 and is not an equivalent. Gates 6824 is a wrapped belt specifically designed for use in clutch applications. The generic part number for the Gates 6824 V-belt would be 4L240W. (W stands for wounded.) I received a unwound universal replacement bracelet from India. The belt I received corresponds to 4L240. An unwound belt has a rubbery outer surface and will seize up too quickly to be used in clutch applications. I won't buy from these guys anymore.
