Review on Tenda Whole Home Mesh WiFi System - Dual Band AC1200 Router Replacement for Smart Home, Compatible with Amazon Alexa, 3000 sq.ft Coverage, 3+ Room (MW3 2PK) by Viterbo Dashora

This is a compromise. for Whole Home and Mesh WiFi Systems

My first complaints. 1. 10/100 Ethernet ports. Why would anyone build an AC1200 router and have 10/100 ports I don't understand. Not very good if you have internet speeds over 100Mbps. 2. There is no way to change channel or even go to the channel block. As more and more people switch to Wi-Fi and devices are tuned to a specific channel or range of channels, those channels will become congested and interference problems will arise.3. No WPS button to add devices.4. There is no option to set a static IP address for devices like wireless printers. Overall, though, it's not a bad system for the price, especially if all you want is a basic, no-frills wireless connection. The coverage is very good. A few dead zones in my 1100 square meters. ft house now has internet. I'm set to reboot every night and haven't noticed any dropouts or connection issues. My speed dropped on some devices but increased on others (12 total), averaging between 40 and 80 Mbps on my 80 Mbps internet connection. I ran a Wi-Fi analyzer and noticed that the channels this system uses are a bit congested. Therefore, being able to switch channels to limit interference would be a great advantage. Gigabit ports would be good for transferring large files or for those with internet speeds in excess of 100Mbps and I honestly can't believe the cost of adding it would make a huge difference to the overall price. So yes, it works, but it's about as cheap and affordable as the price. Since I'm replacing routers that are 10-15 years old and have had uneven coverage, I'll leave them until I have a more powerful system.
