Review on Knitting Pattern Essentials Bonus Material Ebook by Morgan Gilmore

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Melville's experience, advice and information has helped me knit the best sweaters for myself, amazing!

I love to knit for myself and enjoy "designing" my own, nothing fancy, just the things I prefer in a sweater. Of the many do-it-yourself books (S. Paden, D. Bliss, etc.) this one is full of useful and easy information. I find good tips every time I open it. With it I can fiddle with all the little details for a perfectly fitting t-shirt sized sweater or come up with something with happier results thanks to everything she shares based on her years of experience. There are also jerseys suitable for books, but it destroys the best of proportions in a simple discussion of the point of balance, which I found instructive. D. Newton's Make Your Own book is also great (it makes the math easier to shape), but due to the sheer volume of practical advice on the site, I couldn't find another that was as helpful. Even the app is uniquely helpful, with more than the usual explanation of the various zoom in/out techniques and where each is most relevant. (There are also 8 sweater/top patterns, which I hope to get my hands on half of in a day.) It's more compact than my other books, so I always have it with me when I'm thinking about my next project . But I turn to Newton's book to refine my stuff. If you are L/XL to Plus size KnitWearLove is also very good for explanations and tips but I didn't like the patterns in it and the patterns are pretty much the content of the book. However, it is excellent for techniques such as forming short rows to achieve excellent knitting results. Or a happy person you knit for.
