Smooth as glass! Skip the Spray - Results on 21, 12 & 9 year old cars!

So basically I found out that this product uses clay aquaplaning to pick up foreign particles that are roughing up your car's finish (even after washing). When I first learned about 'sailing' I was fascinated by the car. My used car looked nice, but it didn't look spectacular. I picked up the kit from my local AutoZone and watched a few videos to learn the best techniques for painting a car with clay. went to work. After about 2 hours my entire car felt as smooth as glass. I was so amazed and in love with the results! My 10 year old car - YES a 10 year old - looked and felt like a 2012/13 model! This was the first time ever that my car was covered in mud so I realized it was going to take so long. SPRAY: I have found that using water as a lube rather than the spray that comes with the kit is usually the best choice. (I think). The spray left marks and I couldn't wipe them off fast enough after use. Yes, it took 2 more washes to wash off that residue. The spray also smells like mint - kinda weird. ZEIT: After that initial 2 hour job, all I had to do was polish the car with clay for about 45 minutes every 4 1/2 months. I live in a city, so my car is often exposed to air pollution and construction debris. bubbles but no foam) If your water is too soapy the clay will start to melt, but yeah some soapy water works better - I've experimented a few times. Just don't use dirty soapy water. I still don't use a spray (I've repainted about 6 different cars each multiple times now) but I find that soapy water works best as others have suggested. ** You must save the edited area. / except, well and lubricated as much as possible - if using soapy water, have a microfiber cloth handy to squeeze water onto the spot after each application of clay. - Your car's body must be spotless before applying the clay (wash the car but do not dry), dry it after dousing with clay and rinsing - you can coat the windows too! - If you want to check the texture of your car paint after washing, gently run your fingers over the hood. and on different parts of the body. If your fingers get a little tangled and you feel dirt, consider covering the machine with clay. To improve your sense of touch, place a zippered pouch on your hand and then feel it. - Get rid of bracelets, belts, watches, rings, etc. when you do your car detailing. People often do not realize that they are being pressed against the bodywork during the detailing process and risk scratching the paintwork. Polish and wax your car after covering it with clay to seal dirt and get a better shine in the paint. The clarity and texture of the paintwork on my car has improved a lot after clay painting :) I think my paint could be cleaner. Finally, the fourth picture is a Porsche 968 95' after it has been plastered, polished and waxed. After that, all cars were painted in smooth glass!
