I've had this heater for about two weeks now and I like it so far. I bought this for my kid's room to keep warm at night because I keep the temperature very low. Her room was hot, warm. Here are some tips I want to know before buying. You MUST "burn out" the heater before using it in the house. That means you plug it in outside the garage, turn the heat on all the way, and leave it on for a couple of hours. This will eliminate the bad smell. There are chemicals on the heater that protect it from rusting while in inventory. If you don't want that smell in your house, you have to burn it. That's why people complain about the bad smell in other reviews. I plugged it in on my porch and left it on all day. No smells! 2. The power save button works only when both switches are on. I haven't found a use for it because I like my kid's room warmer than 70, but it's fine for the room.3. This is a SLOW burner. Doesn't heat up in 10 seconds. Turn it on and let the room warm up. Don't turn it off when the room is warm and then turn it on again when it gets cold. This product is not designed to work. Keep it low and it will keep the room warm. This is the best way to save energy. Good product. Follow the instructions. That's why they are here!
