I'm sorry I waited so long before buying them! We live in the desert and dust is always a problem. Three weeks ago I bought three AeraMax 300s - one at each end of the house and one in the middle. We've never had to dust the furniture since they got here! Our house smells noticeably fresher and we breathe easier! The real test for me was the cooking smell. We have an open floor plan and my wife cooks a lot of national food with strong smells. She cooked a big dinner last weekend and within an hour the smell was gone! Oddly enough, our energy use has dropped by 30kWh per day since they appeared in our home. I believe this is because we have better circulation and the heat pump filters collect so much dust. Some of the more negative reviews cited the smell of plastic. When the air purifier is shipped, the filter is packed in plastic. You have to remove this plastic because if you don't, there will be a plastic smell. Anyway, if you are looking for a modern air purifier, this is it! We don't have allergies but I have to believe it will make a world of difference for anyone who has!
