Reading reviews of these "air coolers" struck me that by and large all the sellers that offer them do not base the ratings on the fan units themselves but on various independent ones products related . I hate it and have looked at many entities trying to find a legit seller/product. After an hour I gave up and decided to give it a try since there was at least one review on this actual product. The instruction manual states that this unit should run for 4 hours when using the fan mist option (with a safety cut off to check the water after two hours). I made sure to fully charge the product and run it at the lowest fan speed with no fog to see how long it would run on the lowest amount of power possible. It worked for a little over an hour (about 75 minutes) and then turned off. I turned it back on and it kept going off for a minute or two. I charged the device overnight and tried again. Same results. More information; I didn't find the volume uncomfortable at low settings. With this low speed fan, you can easily talk on the phone while having dinner. I used cold water from the fridge and a few ice cubes in the reservoir, and the air seemed slightly cooler than the ambient temp in my air-conditioned home, which was 76 degrees. The device was very light and easy to move around as it is made entirely of plastic. It was very easy to use right out of the box (except for the constant charging). An hour of charging wasn't enough for my needs, so I'm reconfiguring the item.
