This Fluval aquarium water pH test kit is very easy to use, albeit a bit messy. I am currently using pH paper strips for my aquarium. They are faster and cleaner to use. This pH measuring kit includes a glass aquarium water bottle, a plastic pipette and a bottle of pH measuring solution to add to your aquarium water sample. The bottle they give you is very small. You put four drops in a predetermined amount of aquarium water, which you fill into a small bottle. Then you shake the water and compare it with the color chart. First, I feel the pH is very accurate as it matches my test strips. But if you must use four, drop every test. Well, the test solution won't last very long. Another question is that for this price I was a little disappointed. I also bought another pH test kit like this one. The one where you also get a vial and a test solution. But it also contained two other bottles. One pH raising bottle and one pH lowering bottle. This allows you to make changes to the aquarium water after testing it. This set was only slightly more expensive than this set. (Which doesn't include extra bottles for pH adjustment.) To sum it up. I think this test is accurate and I love how easy it is to use. But there are better options. Less messy test strips and other solution kits that also include additional features not included in this kit. For this reason I cannot rate it highly.
