Description of ๐ŸŸ Accurate Fluval Test Kit for Aquarium Water - Essential for Freshwater & Saltwater Fish Tank Health

Nitrate develops when nitrite is broken down in the final stages of the nitrogen cycle. High levels of Nitrate can lead to algae growth, poor fish growth, fish stress, and in general must be avoided. Average nitrate levels should be maintained below 10 ppm in freshwater and less than 5 ppm in marine aquariums. Test weekly to ensure nitrate is detected. Contains 80 Nitrate tests.

Drip-drip-drip suitable for aquarium test kits

This calcium test kit is similar to other test kits as it consists of adding the solution drop by drop until the liquid changes color. This is tedious and error-prone. But on the other hand, it's accurate and not too difficult. They take a water sample. In this case 5 ml, less than in some other tests. Then add solution 1 and shake. Add solution 2 and shake. Add a drop of Solution 3 and shake. Repeat with single drops of Solution 3 until the color of the liquid changes from light pink toโ€ฆ

Suitable for my aquatic plants

Take my rating with caution as I only have a 10 gallon aquarium for my aquatic plants. I had a small fish there, but unfortunately he is no longer with us. I could tell she felt she needed more space even at those 10 gallons so I will no longer be keeping the fish in the tanks at this house. But I am very satisfied with the water plants. Things have been a little different since the fish have gone and I need to keep a better eye on them. They include all the materials and you simply pour someโ€ฆ

This is a useful, if somewhat tricky, calcium test.

The test has 3 steps, so it is not as easy as some other tests, but it can determine the lime content in the aquarium with sufficient accuracy. When I first tasted it wasn't enough to register, but when I mashed up the squid and checked, I saw a difference. This was really helpful as I have snails and they need as much calcium as they can get! test, so follow the instructions carefully. For example, if you don't shake the mixture after the first step, it won't work properly. Read theโ€ฆ

This saved our new fish from death.

I'm pretty sure our new fish is alive thanks to this little kit. When I received this item we were buying a new fish for our 1.5 year old angelfish. They were a few days old. The gourami didn't look very good. We know that the pH level in our aquarium is always a problem. The high pH has killed several fish over the years. We don't usually know what the pH level is until we bring the fish back to the store. We never considered buying a kit. (who knows why!). It was the perfect moment to try out

Accurate and easy to use but messy and not as good as other options

This Fluval aquarium water pH test kit is very easy to use, albeit a bit messy. I am currently using pH paper strips for my aquarium. They are faster and cleaner to use. This pH measuring kit includes a glass aquarium water bottle, a plastic pipette and a bottle of pH measuring solution to add to your aquarium water sample. The bottle they give you is very small. You put four drops in a predetermined amount of aquarium water, which you fill into a small bottle. Then you shake the water andโ€ฆ

No convincing alternative.

The Fluval pH test kit is handy but inferior to other test kits that are cheaper and quite reliable. If you are an aquarist, you should be able to check your water values (pH value, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate) regularly, especially when you start or set up an aquarium. There are several options available, but the gold standard among test kits is the API Master Freshwater test kit (there is also a seawater kit). You can use this kit to check all the important parameters, it's very accurateโ€ฆ

Just do this important test

I don't check the pH of my aquarium water as often as I should, although I know it's important - I once had an entire aquarium of juvenile fish due to the treated tap water I added lost was too acidic and it killed my fish. This test kit is easier to use than the ones I've bought in the past, so I'll be testing more often from now on. It comes with a dropper, a small vial with a cap, and a blue reagent solution. You use a dropper to remove water from the aquarium and fill the tube up to the 5mL
