Best install of any brand I've tried

ignore the whining from people who don't know how to put a screen protector and know nothing about a curved phone screen. I've used a more popular and expensive brand for years and they've been fine. I thought I'd give it a try, just like that. I'm pleasantly surprised. Maybe it's because I have a little more experience applying it, but the screen protector is pretty easy to apply; no bubbles no dust. One clue I've found over the years is to install in a dark room (no, not pitch black - use common sense) as light attracts dust and makes dust fly more. Also, after cleaning the phone screen, I put the phone on a damp cloth to attach the protective film. It also minimizes the amount of dust. Also, don't worry if there are still very small bubbles left after installation. Wait a few minutes or even an hour and these bubbles will usually go away if you kept the screen dust-free during installation. The 1mm clearance at the edges of the screen is 100% required as the Moto G7's screen curves down at the edges. Don't stick a flat piece of glass to a curved screen. Anyone smarter than a one-legged duck should know this, or find out pretty quickly. This protection completely covers the flat part of the screen. Another thing some reviewers don't realize is that screen protectors break if you drop your phone on them. An inexpensive screen protector will sacrifice itself to save your expensive screen if you drop your phone. That's why you get two or three in a pack instead of just one. They are not designed to last forever. I had one last for eight or nine months and broke two in a week. The moment I break my last one, I will immediately order a new set. Apparently they have a guarantee and if you break them they will send you new ones for free. I'm not petty enough to make a warranty claim for a broken screen protector if I drop my phone. I only buy new ones. Of course, it's not the manufacturer's or the seller's fault that I dropped my phone. However, I think the free replacement guarantee is a very good feature if you decide to take advantage of it.
