I bought this to use bluetooth headphones while working on my desktop as my desktop doesn't support wifi. I connected the device to the USB port, Windows 10 recognized the device as a Bluetooth adapter without any problems and automatically installed the appropriate driver. The hard drive was not needed - as usual with Windows 10. Then I turned on the headphones and hit pair a new bluetooth device - and voila! I am connected. I've spent the last 2 hours listening to classical music! No standstills and departures. The sound quality is what I've come to expect from Bose headphones - excellent! No surprises. I like this device and give it 5 stars. In fact, I liked it so much I bought a second one!
