I spend a lot of time researching most things before I buy them. I look for things that are truly eco-friendly (lots of green laundry, you name it) and better for people and the planet. However, many truly natural materials are less effective. For example, if you use natural kitchen wood oils instead of standard mineral oil (made from petroleum), the oil is not stable enough to last long and will eventually go bad and this can not only be in the bottle but in the what you use. They use fractionated coconut oil, which stabilizes the oil. I put mine in the fridge for extra protection just in case. The only thing I would like to say is that this product could be greatly improved if they redesigned the top of the bottle to look like a push pull shampoo bottle. It's hard not to waste a lot of it with its current lid. (Also, my upper ripped and I don't know when or how it happened, not necessarily their fault, but I would like it to be stronger or thicker and not so stiff that it's more impact resistant from the start.)
