Review on Broan-NuTone 423604: 36 Inch Stainless Steel Under Cabinet Range Hood Insert by Patrick Martin

When I first got it, it fit nicely in the old Frigidaire hood space carved into the cabinets. This is a rental for my dad so I didn't install anything more expensive. owner installed. I was concerned it didn't seem to increase steam and cooking fat as others reported, but it was acceptable. Now the fan stops working although the light still works. The owner says the fan switch is defective. This hood is not used often as my father has nurses who constantly prepare simple meals for him. The hood still looks good, but the switch obviously doesn't turn on the fan anymore. Since I didn't install it, I can't tell if this is purely a quality issue or if something happened during installation. It's not from overuse or abuse. Let's see how that one-year limited warranty plays out.
