This is a review of a gold plated 10ft DisplayPort to HDMI Cable. A summary is a short and simple overview. I need this cable so I can use an HDMI splitter to switch between my two computers and a third monitor in my setup. Works perfectly for what I need and I'm very happy with it. The price was also reasonable for the type and quality of the cable. This cable does exactly what I wanted and does what it says on the tin. This is a 10 foot cable that gives me a full 1920 x 1200 (1080p) resolution and can also support uncompressed audio up to 7.1ch. **Remember that it is intended to be used as a cable to connect to the Displayport. Source to an HDMI display device. This will not work for those who want to connect the HDMI output to the Displayport video input. ** Qualitatively, the cable is thick, but you can use it without any problems. It has gold plated ends perfect for high quality connectors and the display connector end snaps in nicely and securely. (I wish HDMI had a locking mechanism like a DisplayPort.) Note that the cases that cover each end are a bit deeper than some. So if you need to use this in an inlet very close to a wall or surface you may need to look for a 90 degree cable or a low profile cable. As always, if this causes problems with continued use or stops working I will update this review accordingly.
