Review on Sunex 11050 Ratcheting Mechanism Counterclockwise by Petr Webster

This small 1/4" torque wrench from Sunex is ideal for small screws where precise tightening is required. I struggle with stripping thin nuts and bolts because specs like 28 pounds are hard to pinpoint unless you're a seasoned pro. I'm wrong, this torque wrench was a big help to me. The handle is rated in both ft-lbs and Newton-meters and can go up to 50 in-lbs, which is about as much as you want for a 1/4-inch tool. The tool comes in a relatively inexpensive but protective plastic case and the handle is anodised aluminum with a knurled grip for a comfortable grip and it works particularly well in mechanics' leather gloves. The fit seems to be very good. In addition to normal use, I've run a few tests by tightening a few bolts and fiddling with the settings and it seems very accurate as far as I can tell as I don't have another small torque wrench to compare with. I have a large 1/2" torque wrench that I use for car tires, but the ranges aren't really comparable since it's designed for much smaller bolts. This is a quality tool and I expect it to last a long time. It's not a tool to be abused anyway, as 50 inch-lbs really isn't much, so there really isn't much you can do with it unless you've abused it on purpose. The torque setting is smooth and the tool just feels good. I am very happy with this torque wrench, now all I need is a 3/8" drive to complete my set.
