These files are very durable. They're made of tungsten, and it's not just a coating. The tungsten grit length of each file is actually part of the material itself. Although the handle feels a little cheap, the files themselves are very heavy, strong, hard and sharp. I've only used them for a day but I can already tell they will last me a while considering other cheaper diamond filters I've used in the past for about the same amount of time with the same intensity fade are. These are the Filers' Chapmans and Leathermans. You will serve me for many years.
