Review on ๐Ÿ”‹ Enhanced Cooling Performance with the Belkin F5L001 Laptop Cooling Pad by Oscar Chambers

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works well in computers and accessories

After hearing stories about laptops overheating, I decided to buy a cooling pad to alleviate it. Overall, I found the Belkin cooling pad to perform quite well. It cools effectively and is useful even when not in use for cooling. The curved underside makes it much more comfortable to hold when I'm sitting down, so I don't always have to lean over my desk (although the USB cable easily detaches from the tablet when held during use to cool it down). The block makes a little noise, but it's not scary. The notebook is loud from time to time and the irritation caused by the fan decreases significantly when playing music. My biggest issue with this product is the USB cable that powers it. It hangs fairly loosely in the back, and it's all too easy to accidentally unplug it or get tangled up in other cords. I like that it can be stored in a compartment under the lining, but it can be awkward to use. In addition, the fan sometimes collects hair lying on the table and gets caught in it, making an unpleasant noise. This rarely happens and is fairly fixable, but difficult to deal with. But overall I like using it. Often I just use it like a regular notepad to sit on my lap, or raise the laptop to my desk for easier typing. If you don't mind a little fan noise (and cooling pad maintenance) I would recommend it. I've had the mat for a year and a half now and the only thing that's changed is the slightly worn USB cable, but that was more my fault than anything. It still works as good as I got it.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Makes me nervous
