If something does not fit, the juicer will not start at all, which is something that has occurred to me on three separate occasions. Also, keep in mind that it has two different operating modes; if the product is turning in the opposite direction, you should attempt to turn it on in the regular manner. The diagrams and drawings in the instructions are difficult to understand, and the visuals in the instructions themselves are unclear. It is annoying that everything is made of plastic, which is why the question of how long this product will endure will continue to be a mystery that can only be addressed through experience. In general, I haven't discovered it yet.
