Ideal for attaching to a tent pole on the wall or ceiling, good airflow, made by a quality company with legendary reliability. Quality control is top notch. (Metric or standard nut? Seriously? There's a nut hole on the side, whether metric or standard.) I bought a 12" desktop version of Hurricane and one of those 6" ceiling fans. and although it doesn't wobble, it runs quietly and stably. The ONLY thing this fan lacks is the wiggle mentioned, but that doesn't really matter as I never wiggle anyway, and instead there is a swirling effect - all fans point to the left. Has been running 24/7 for 18 months with no issues. I recently bought another one and will most likely be buying a third one in the next month or two to replace the desktop model that takes up space on the tent floor (which is being moved to the bedroom as a testament to how good these fans are ). My sunflowers, basil, yarrow, chamomile, lavender, cilantro, dill, and lemon balm (etc.) LOVE the airflow and have nice strong stems in a light breeze with the fan on low. If you tighten the fan neck switch all the way, you need to make another quarter turn to lock it in place, then you can bend it to your liking. He worked for me for 18 months. Marking: These fans do NOT have "metal protection". it is plastic. Good, easily bendable plastic that won't break if accidentally hit with something hard. but plastic.tl;dr - anyone complaining about these fans is doing it wrong, this is 100% your best, SAFEST option for permanent use in 2'x2.5' - 5'x5' tents.
