I use a lot of apples but absolutely hate removing the core from them. It's exhausting doing it with a knife, not to mention I'm always afraid of cutting myself. Well, I've only ever used a regular apple corer and it's really hard to core. After my last stoner bent and twisted to the point where I had to throw it out, I saw that and figured there wouldn't hurt to give it away. To attempt. Well I'm sure I'm glad I did. This core requires very little torque to remove the core, so it is unlikely to deform. I love that I can adjust the size of the apples to a larger or smaller size and then just pop them open and the core slides out. However, this thing is very sharp, so be careful how you hold the apple when you cut out the core. I had a small cut on my palm the first time I used it, so I'm a lot more careful now, both when removing the apple core and washing the core. This thing really speeds up cooking apples and today I'm enjoying homemade Dutch apple pie without having to worry about my apple corer.
