Mixed results for automotive electronics

I really wish I would like this DVR system but I can't. It was a setup process that involved me crawling around the car trying to hide the cables, setting up the camera properly, formatting and inserting the memory card. It took a lot longer than expected, partly because the instructions are so poorly written, but also because the camera is buggy. I bought this particular camera because it is WiFi enabled. It's also buggy and almost doesn't work, it takes multiple attempts to download a single 5-minute video because the connection drops halfway. Also, front and back videos need to be uploaded separately. I wasn't worried as it's too time consuming and doesn't work half the time. So if you're interested in this camera, spend a little more money for something more reliable. I really think the video quality is good during the day, the night looks a bit static. You can see, but the details are blurry. However, if you're using this to deter theft, it's great. You can set it to turn on when a car collides while parking. At this point, it's pretty obvious that there's a camera when it lights up, so hopefully thieves will think twice. I've recently noticed that the rear camera doesn't always seem to work, I'm not sure if it's a wiring issue or is already failing after a month of ownership. Again, crawling all over the car and playing with wires is a pain. You can't avoid it with any of these systems, but I was hoping I could set it up and forget, I don't think it applies to this product. My husband decided to buy a DVR for his car and I took it from it, read all you want.
